The College unit of NSS started functioning in the year 1995, the same year the College took inception. The NSS unit which works upholding the motto “Not Me; But You” has undertaken very many activities aiming at community development. Besides inculcating a spirit of service and team work among the volunteer members, the NSS contributes immensely to the overall personality development of the students. The community services for which the unit gives prime importance has brought the student community much closer to the society.
The stand out activities undertaken by the NSS in recent years includes housing projects like “Abhayam”, palliative services for the chronic and terminally ill etc.
